  Hi, my name is Capt. Bruce Andersen and I’d like to invite you to come fishing with me aboard the Florida keys charter boat the Capt. Easy. While aboard the Captain Easy I’ll be your guide and will make sure you and your party will have a great time fishing the waters of Islamorada with me. I work hard to be one of the top florida keys fishing guides in Islamorada and consistently produce some of the best catches in the Florida Keys. I’m also very easy going and friendly and am understanding of your needs and can accommodate you whether you are an experienced fisherman (I have some regular customers that fish with me up to 20 times a year) or a family with children that have never been on a charter fishing trip or to Islamorada before. We can customize your fishing trip to accommodate you whether you’d like to target big game sport fish offshore, Tarpon in the nearshore channels, tasty reef and bottom fish, or do an action packed family fun trip to keep the kids busy. As a father of 2 children I am very patient and great with kids and will take the time to show them what we’re doing and the right way to fish in the Florida keys while having fun in an easy going manner.

   Ever since I was a little kid growing up on the south shore of Long Island New York fishing was always my favorite thing to do. I was always drawn to it and I got my first job on a party fishing boat at the age of 14 and never looked back. After working on charter boats and party boats out of Captree N.Y. in the summers through my high school years and a few years of college, I decided to come to the Florida Keys in 1994 to experiance the amazing year round fishing I had always heard about. After coming down and fishing one winter season I was hooked. I went back to New York for one more summer and then moved to the Florida Keys permanently in 1995. I started out working on Party boats and charter boats in both Key Largo and Islamorada and eventually found my way onto a charter boat in Islamorada called the Captain Easy. I worked as the mate and part time Captain on the old Captain Easy until the year 2001 and at that point I bought the boat and ran her full time for 16 years. Turning her into one of the busiest and most successful offshore charter boats in the Islamorada charterboat business. Meeting many customers and making great friends along the way. After many years running the old boat I started to think of changing it up a bit. I was having a great time running the big boat, but I wanted to offer my customers a more hands on one on one experience. I decided to add a center console fishing boat to the business. After months of searching all over for the right boat I found one right around the corner from my house in Key Largo. The Conch 27 was the perfect boat for what I envisioned. Small enough for me to run by myself and do some types of inshore fishing, but big enough to handle any of the seas we encounter on the offshore trips and set up perfectly for a Florida Keys charter boat. I ran the Conch 27 part time for a few years and in December 2019 switched to the center console full time. I would like to invite all of my old customers and friends as well as new customers to join me for a great day fishing the Florida Keys on the new Captain Easy!
